Our Daily Office offers a set of four simple liturgies to use at Morning, Midday, Evening and Night Prayer. Some will use these every day, some once a week and some less frequently but augmented with other forms of prayer depending on their own pattern of worship. Many Members, Enquirers and Friends choose to join in with Morning and/or Night Prayer as the Community say it together on the Facebook Members’ Space or Zoom meeting (see below).
Others prefer to pray alone, knowing that other Hopeweavers are praying with them in other settings. Some choose to use our Daily Office to pray with others from their church or friendship circles. The times of silence and stillness in the liturgy give us space to connect deeply with God.
Daily Office Online

Morning Prayer
O God, you are my God, I seek you, my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. Psalm 63:1
Jesus said to her, ‘Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.’ John 4:13-14
We give thanks to God for the gift of living water through Christ Jesus as we welcome the gift of this new day.

Versions of the Lord’s Prayer
Traditional
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
Contemporary
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen.
Jim Cotter version
Eternal Spirit,
Earth-maker, Pain-bearer, Life-giver,
Source of all that is and that shall be,
Father and Mother of us all.
Loving God, in whom is heaven:
The hallowing of your name echo through the universe!
The way of your justice be followed by the
peoples of the world!
Your heavenly will be done by all created beings!
Your commonwealth of peace and freedom
sustain our hope and come on earth.
With the bread we need for today, feed us.
In the hurts we absorb from one another, forgive us.
In times of temptation and testing, strengthen us.
From trials too great to endure, spare us.
From the grip of all that is evil, free us.
For you reign in the glory of the power that is love,
now and for ever. Amen.
